ABC National Television Sales/ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales is a division of The Walt Disney Company. ABC National Television Sales, Inc. is the in-house sales, marketing, research and promotional arm of the ABC Owned Television Group. ABC NTVS was formed in 1962 to represent the ABC Owned Television stations to the advertiser and agency community for national advertising sales. To maximize sales results, ABC/NTVS is strategically divided into several sales units including ABC NTVS Transactional Sales, ABC Full Circle Development Sales, ABC Digital Sales and ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales. Currently ABC NTVS has 156 full time employees in 9 offices across the country.
The Development of ABC RSES:
In 1994, ABC New Media Sales was formed to represent several emerging OOH placed based media properties including but not limited to ScreenVision, Target Channel Red, PumpTop Television and Meijer; ABC In-Store Network. ABC NMS generated significant revenue for each of their partners leading them to eventually bring their national sales efforts in-house.
In 2002, ABC Regional Sports Sales was formed to represent various professional sports teams and regional sports networks with respect to their fully integrated cross platform sponsorship sales. ABC RSS has worked with several teams from MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL as well as some powerful regional sports networks including The YES Network, MASN, Altitude, Comcast Philadelphia and Comcast Northwest.
In 2009, ABC Regional Sports & Entertainment Sales was formed after the consolidation of the two divisions, ABC NMS and ABC RSS. ABC RSES is now able to provide its clients with access to consumers at home, on-line, in-stadium, on the streets and in the stores.
